Ran across this image on Flickr and was thrilled to see a Brazilian McDonald’s menu that was designed for the previous World Cup with a handful of clever little illustrations.

London based designer Alex Woolley exemplifies the brilliant conceptualization and execution I previously spoke of. Aesthetics are of great importance, but great concepts paired with a beautiful aesthetic reigns superior. Simply amazing work, take a look here.

Anyone catch that sweet U.S. Men’s National Team win over Mexico about a week ago? Well it was a good one. In fact Nike Soccer has a great online magazine of their own now, showcasing the men’s team as well as other nifty little items such as interviews (including one with the creator of the new Ronaldinho boot) and some cool pictures and wallpapers as well. All you soccer fans should give Nike’s “365 Todays” a look see.
In spirit of the holidays, which would be Superbowl Sunday for those of you that celebrate such a glorious day, I figured I’d bring back a couple of commercials that should never be forgotten. The Terry Tate, Office Linebacker commericals first aired back in 2002 and ended up making a series of eight commercials featuring the burly office enforcer. I’m sure after taking a look at this videos you’ll remember this Superbowl spots.
…here comes the pain train “BABY!”
Nike Soccer released this commercial before the last world cup with their “Joga Bonito” campaign. It wasn’t seen on US television as far as I know, but I do remember watching this video and asking myself is this for real. The video features soccer magician Ronaldinho doing what he does best, making mouths drop. So take a quick peek, even if you’re not a “futbol” fan and keep in mind that this is the real deal.
So I have to say, ever since getting Rockstar’s Table Tennis for christmas, I’ve been addicted. The game is fricken luscious. True story. The graphics are dead on, the players even sweat as the match goes on. I never thought I’d be posting a blog based on a video game, but it’s that awesome and if you’re at any store with an Xbox on display they all have demos of the game. GO TRY IT…I double dog dare ya.
